Chautari has a significant meaning and place in Nepali culture and it's history. Chautari is basically a "Peepal" tree around which sitting arrangements are made in such a manner that people can come along together in its shade and share the highs and lows of life. It's basically present everywhere, all around the country and is so close to every Nepali's Heart.
While embarking on a journey in rural Nepal by foot, people always stop at the next Chautari and release their tiredness, drink, eat the food they are carrying and filled with renewed energy, embark further on a journey.
Our Restaurant is also built around the same concept. After more than a decade of culinary experience, we want to combine that all together and present you a blend of foods originating from Nepali Himalayas, travelling into Indian subcontinent and through the middle eastern region of the world to Norwegian Fjell & Fjords.
